Correspondence Courses

Many Continuing Education courses can be provided as combination self-study and live seminar programs. In general, these programs require one day of self-study prior to a full-day seminar taught on site. The content of these programs can be tailored to your specific organization's needs and are worth 16 CEUs. A minimum of 10 attendees is usually required.

The Communication CEU provides employees with the skills needed for effective communication with clients. Participants receive a self-assessment with the Myers Briggs Type Indicator in order to identify their own communication and style and learn how to identify the styles of others they will interact with.

The Psychology of Money 8 CEUs (Correspondence Course) $150.00

This course is designed to compliment Money Madness: The Psychology of Saving, Spending, Loving, and Hating Money written by Herb Goldberg and Robert E. Lewis. This course attempts to uncover some of the psychological issues associated with money. Human behavior is complicated especially when it comes to money. The authors of this book provide a rational exploration into the way people spend (and in some instances, don’t spend) their money. They include real-life examples and some fictitious examples that hopefully you may relate to.

This course is designed to compliment The Joy of Conflict Resolution written by Gary Harper. The objective of this course is to help counselors understand conflict and why it arises through the lens of the "drama triangle" of victims, villains and heroes. Customer service representatives gain insight into customer relations and effective problem solving through this program. Financial Health Counselor Program approved by "Certified Financial Planners Board, Inc." and NACCC (40 CEUs for CFP) $300.00

This program is a Holistic approach to financial counseling to include credit and financial knowledge as well as an in-depth understanding of Psychology of Money. The counselor learns an array of problem solving and counseling approaches for optimum communication and empowerment of the client.

Senior Credit Counselor Program 16 CEUs (16 hour Correspondence Course) $300.00

This program is offered as a full-day seminar to groups of ten or more or it can be completed through self-study. The resource manual, Credit Counseling: An Integrated Approach , takes an application-based approach to such topics as managing credit, creating a spending plan, and understanding the psychological side of money. Participants will learn about personality types and complete the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Also included are sections on budget analysis and housing counseling. Exercises and self-assessments appear throughout.
